LeadMedia achieves record traffic and sales during Brazilian Black Friday 2014

LeadMedia Group (FR0011053636, ALLMG, PEA PME eligible) – developer of data marketing software and solutions and digital marketing integrated services provider has today announced that Black Friday 2014 has enabled the Group to register record traffic and sales for its partner clients in Brazil.

Mirroring Black Friday, the biggest sales day in the United States, for the past five years LeadMedia Group has been developing a similar event in Brazil through the website www.blackfriday.com.br, produced by its subsidiary BuscaDescontos and for which it holds related rights.

40% increase in sales achieved by LeadMedia Group

The event, which took place over a 24-hour period on Friday 28 November, was a resounding success with Brazilian internet users, enabling the Group’s e-commerce partners in this country to generate a sharp increase in both site traffic and sales levels in comparison with the same event in 2013. Compared with the 2013 event, LeadMedia Group generated a 40% increase – for this day alone – in its revenue derived from its partner clients, which include the brands DELL, Adidas, HP, as well as the online retailers Amazon, NetShoes and Americanas, and the Brazilian airlines Azul and TAM.

This digital sales event was an unprecedented success in Brazil in 2014, as shown by the following indicators:
• During this 5th year, the qualified audience generated by LeadMedia Group’s sites and media assets alone beat all records, achieving 1.9 million visitors and generating in excess of 2.8 million click-throughs to sites of the Group’s partner clients in under 48 hours, equating to an increase of 24% in comparison with 2013.
• The total amount spent by Brazilian internet users with online retailers participating in Black Friday came to more than BRL 800 million in 2014, including BRL 27 million (almost €9 million) generated through LeadMedia Group companies in Brazil, an increase of 23% in comparison with 2013. This volume of sales represents more than 5 times the amount spent on an ordinary Friday in Brazil.

• During the event, more than 65,000 online purchases were made thanks to LeadMedia Group, representing an increase of 23% compared with the previous year’s event. The average basket value was virtually stable, rising 2% to BRL 416.
